CARL A. VOLKMANN

Lifelong Uniontown resident, Carl Volkmann, passed away December 20, 2020 at the age of 89.  Born June 11, 1931 to the late Herman and Anna Linz Volkmann, he was preceded in death by his wife, Alberta; daughters, Donna Ritchie, Jamie Miller, Helen Schirf; brother, Herman Volkmann; sister-in-law, Martha Volkmann; and niece, Barb Aldridge.

A construction supervisor for many years, he enjoyed polka, playing cards, and was a 32nd Degree Mason.  Carl was a loving family man, who was known for his sense of humor and friendly nature.

Carl is survived by his daughter, Marsha Brett; son, George (Michele) Volkman; grandchildren, Joe Brett, Heather Brett, Spanky Brett, Ashley Brett, Michelle DiGiacomo, Kitrenda Miller, Sondra (Seth) Norton; Rachel Volkman, Lexi Volkman, and Zac Schirf; ten great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to share their memories during visitation on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 from Noon until the time of service beginning at 1:00 pm, Hecker-Patron Funeral Home, 13151 Cleveland Avenue, NW, Uniontown.  Interment will follow at Mt. Peace Cemetery, Hartville.

We kindly ask everyone upon entering the funeral home, to wear a mask or facial covering and to observe the social distancing guidelines.
