CODY JAMES RIES

Cody James, Ries, 26, of Atwater, Ohio, passed away suddenly, June 21, 2020.  He was born May 17, 1994 in Akron, Ohio, son of James and Karen Ries.

Preceeding Cody in death was his paternal grandfather, James F. Ries, Sr.; maternal great-grandmother, Margaret Meyers; uncle, Robert Troy; and cousin, John Troy.

Like the blink of an eye, like the briefness of the wind, and gone too soon, Cody’s memory will forever be cherished by those who survive;  parents, James and Karen Ries; sisters, Rachel and Margaret Ries; brother, Dylan Ries; paternal grandmother, Barbara Ries; maternal grandparents, Richard and Frances Troy; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

A very talented tradesman, he was a certified welder and plumber apprentice.  He was a gifted artist, loved all types of music, and was a self-taught black smith. Cody loved his Harley Davidson motorcycle, the mountains, enjoyed life, and having fun doing what he loved.

Family will receive guests on Friday, June 26, 2020 from 10:00 am until the time of service, which will begin at 1:00 pm, Hecker-Patron Funeral Home, 13151 Cleveland Avenue, NW, Uniontown.  Pastor James Gergon will officiate.
