David Ivey

DAVID A. IVEY

David A. Ivey went home to be with the Lord, on December 21, 2021. He was born in Akron, Ohio on September 8, 1960.

He was an avid firearms enthusiast, NRA instructor, and founder of Freedom Firearms Training Center, where he taught the concealed carry course from 2004 to 2013. Most of all, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles L., and Juanita C. (Creekmore) Ivey; grandparents, Luther and Clemy Ivey and William and Elsie Creekmore.

David is survived by his wife of 45 years, Shelly; son, Robert (Amber) Ivey; daughter, Autumn Ivey-Vanderhoff (Brandon); five wonderful grandchildren, Alexandra, Shane, Dillon, Emma, and Mason; his 4-legged best friend, Rimmy; and many other beloved friends and relatives.

A Graveside Service will be held at Hillside Memorial Park in Akron, Thursday, December 30, 2021 at 1:00 pm.
