DELORES J. “DEE” (FEATHER) MCCARTNEY

Peacefully, in the early morning of November 11, 2024, Delores J. “Dee” (Feather) McCartney, passed away, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 4, 1943, in Cuzzart, West Virginia, to her parents, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, David J. McCartney, Sr.; sister, Helen Reckart; and four brothers.

Dee is survived by her son, David McCartney, Jr. and wife, Jodi; daughter, Edie McCartney-Whipkey and husband, Wayne; grandchildren, Miranda McCartney, Xander Fox, Colton McCartney, Peyton McCartney, Riley McCartney, and Deacon Whipkey; and two great-grandchildren.

She worked for North Canton City Schools as a bus driver for 18 years. She was an amazing cook, loved to read and crochet. More than anything, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date.
