Doris Colleen Walls Fincannon

Doris “Colleen” Walls Fincannon passed away March 3, 2025, at Ohio Health Southeastern Medical Center in Cambridge, Ohio. She was born in Akron, Ohio, the daughter of Floyd Warren and Grace Virginia Park Walls on July 7, 1930.

She was a member of Hillwood Chapel for 73 years and loved sharing her love of Jesus with everyone. Her favorite hymn was “The Eastern Gate” and she will most likely be a greeter at the Eastern Gate.

She was a devoted wife, mother, and friend. She loved and enjoyed everyone that she knew and was mutually loved.

She fully enjoyed life, spreading joy and love to all who knew her. She was known for her amazing cakes, her love of cooking, and trying new recipes, sewing and canning skills, hand made teddy bears, painting, teaching painting classes with friends, many different types of crafts, as well as her vibrant red hair.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph A. Fincannon, Jr.; brother and sister-in-law, Glen and Birdie Walls; brother-in-law, Bill Ranson; son-in-law, Michael Mullins; grandson, Earnie Mullins; and great-grandson, Michael Mullins.

She is survived by four children, Dale (Rachel Hall) Fincannon, Linda Darlene Mullins, Wayne (Kim) Fincannon, and Chris (BJ) Fincannon. She Leaves one sister, Shirley Ranson. Surviving grandchildren include Annette (Jeff) Mullins-Swanger, Derrick (Jessica) Fincannon, Christopher Doalson, CJ (Kristina) Taylor, Stephen (Jessica) Taylor, Tara Fincannon, Anna Doalson, and Travis Fincannon. Surviving great-grandchildren are Korey (Megan) Hartman, Allison (Phillip) Larkin, Cohen (Delaney) Fincannon, Mikey Mullins, Haley Hyatt, Jessie Hyatt, Madison Notton, Mason Notton, and Brynlee Fincannon. Surviving great-great-grandchildren include Sylas Hartman, Cecil Hartman, Felicity Fincannon, Hawk Taylor, Wesson Taylor, and Jackson Taylor. Also remembered is Gracie, her boxer, that she dearly loved.

Nieces and nephews left to cherish her memory are Debbie Dorris, Mark Walls, Grace Ranson, Diego Ranson, Melissa May, Harrison May, Arianna Deiter, Sophia Deiter, Michelle Greene, Terry May, David Ranson, and Donnie Reed, as well as a large extended family.

Calling hours will be from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, with services to follow at 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Hecker-Patron Funeral Home, Uniontown, Ohio. Burial will be at East Liberty Cemetery, Akron, Ohio.

The family would like to express sincere thanks for all the prayers that have been offered on Colleen’s behalf, as well as the wonderful care that she has received at Beckett House in New Concord, Ohio and the staff of Ohio Health Southeastern Medical Center in Cambridge, Ohio.
