Earnest Ramsey

Earnest W. Ramsey, 79, of Uniontown, passed away at home on February 24, 2018, with his wife by his side. He was born in Altoona, PA on September 1, 1938 to Elder “Herk” and Pearl (Eckhard) Ramsey. Earnest served in the U.S. Navy from 1955 to 1959. He retired from the M. O’Neils Co. (May Dept. Store, Macy’s Dept. Store) and was a member of the Baptist Church. Earnest was a former member of the Streetsboro Senior Center and the Ravenna Recreation Center. He was also a former resident of the Willows in Mogadore, where he and his wife Kathryn served as greeters for the new residents.

Preceded in death by his parents; step father Pat Hayth; first wife Frances and son Gordon; he is survived by his devoted wife Kathryn; son Mark; sisters Janice Angersback, Carol (Lanny) Ilg and Delsie (Gary) Gloss; brother John Hayth and many other cherished relatives and friends.

In following with Earnest’s wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be no services. Hecker 330 699-2600.
