Edith Chewning

Edith Chewning, 88, went home to be with the Lord on February 18, 2018. Born April 1, 1929 in Mill Creek, WV., to Johnathan and Addie (Shreve) Wamsley, she was an area resident most of her life. Edith, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, was a member of Uniontown Chapel of Faith.

Preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Sydney, son Gregory and daughter-in-law Deborah; she is survived by her loving family, sons, Curtis Linn (Shannon) and Dwight (Jean); grandchildren, Geoffrey (fiance Becca Dolak) Chewning, Heather (Tony) DiAngelis, and  Alena Chewning; great grandsons, Greyson and Tony Jr.; brother Mason Wamsley, sister Ruth Mills; her church family and many other cherished relatives and friends.

Visitation Wednesday 4 to 7 p.m. at the Hecker Funeral Home in Uniontown and Thursday 10 to 11 a.m. at Uniontown Chapel of Faith, where funeral services will immediately follow at 11 a.m. with Pastor Jack Coontz officiating.
