EDWARD J. HUTCHINSON

It is with great sadness that the family of Edward J. Hutchinson announces his passing on August 11, 2024 at the age of 82. He was born on November 18, 1941, in Akron, Ohio, to his late parents, Joe E. and Faustine (Hicks) Hutchinson.

Ed was a graduate of Kenmore High School, served in the US Coast Guard, and was a member of Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. He attended the Akron Blind Center and was a member of the Coast Guard Group Buckeye Coasties. Ed was a gentle man, with a warm and kind heart. 

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Carol Lynn Hutchinson; stepson, Russell (Stacy) Dean of Akron; grandson, Mark Dean; and brother-in-law, Wilbur Yorde

Family and friends are welcome for visitation on Friday, August 16, 2024 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 1800 Steese Road, Uniontown. A Mass of Christian burial will follow immediately at 11:00 AM, with Father David Durkee, Pastor, serving as celebrant. Interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery, Akron.
