ELIZABETH OLINGER

Elizabeth (Betty) Olinger passed away Friday, September 21, 2018 at the Gables of Green.

She was born on August 11, 1922 in Akron Ohio to Katie and Henry Weiler.  She was a graduate of Greensburg High School class of 1942.  She worked at Goodyear Aircraft, as a welder during World War II, where she met her husband, Kenneth J Olinger Sr. and they were married 51 years.  She was the past president of the East Liberty PTA, East Liberty Garden Club, a former member of the Lake Grange, and an active member of Advent Lutheran Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth J Olinger Sr.; daughters, Judy McArdle and Debra Williams; and great-grandson, Blake McArdle.

She is survived by her sons; Kenneth Olinger Jr. and his wife, Linda; Len (Carolyn Watson); and daughter, Kay Albright.  Grandchildren; Becky (Chip) Frank, Bryan (Dawn) McArdle, Nancy (Tim) Spencer, Dan (Kim) McArdle, Deanna (George) Rasch, Nathan Olinger, Ryan (Amy) Olinger, Brett Williams, and John Olinger.  Great-grandchildren;  Alie and Katie Frank, Trevor and Camden McArdle, Devon and Jacob Olinger, Roland and Addelyn McArdle, Alexis Olinger,  George, Ethan and Stella Rasch, and Nina and Lexie Vannatter.

Celebration of life services will be held at Advent Lutheran Church, Uniontown, on Wednesday September 26, 2018 at 6:30 pm, with calling hours from 5 to 6:30 pm. Robert Cheyney Jr. officiating. A reception will follow in the church fellowship hall.

Inurnment is at the convenience of the family.

We would like to thank her “Angels, the staff at the Gables of Green” and Crossroads Hospice.  She loved you all.
