GEORGE LEROY HUNT, JR.
George Leroy Hunt Jr., 79, of Uniontown, Ohio went home to be with Jesus, on Saturday, December 4th, 2021.
George was a fullback on the football team for Mogadore High and graduated from Springfield High. He was a life-long Cleveland Browns fan, even when they didn't have a team in Cleveland! He also supported the Cleveland Indians and the Cavaliers through many winning and losing seasons. Those that knew him closely, knew how much he loved to laugh, always making jokes and playfully torment his nieces and nephews. George was a semi-pro bowler on a travel team and he and his wife, Linda, were on various bowling leagues. His favorite time of the year was Christmas when he dressed up as Santa Claus to share the joy of the season and the real reason, for Jesus's birth. He was honored to drive the church school bus and always had a tenderness towards the Lord.
George is survived by his two daughters, Lynell Arlene Hunt of Uniontown, Ohio, and Jennifer Joy Hunt of Dallas, Texas. He had three grand-fur babies: Wren & Dani (Lynell's cats) and Winston Churchill (Jennifer's corgi pup). His best friend and mother of his children, Linda Kay Hunt, was a constant source of joy and encouragement in their lifetime. Linda went to be with Jesus also, earlier this year on May 8th, 2021.
We'd love to hear any thoughts or well wishes of George, it helps us keep his memory alive and a tribute to his legacy. Thank you for your support during this difficult year.
We love you,
Lynell & Jennifer
