Hazel Virginia Church-Eldreth
Mogadore- Hazel V. Eldreth, 92, joined her heavenly family and Lord and
Savior Jesus Christ on October 6, 2017. She was born on January 30,
1925 in Church Hollow near Lansing, NC. She lived there until the early
1950's when they relocated to Mogadore. In addition to raising her five
children, she was employed by Chestnut Ridge Dairy and Summit County
Children's Home among others. She was a faithful servant of Christ and
considered Home Missionary Baptist Church as her home church. She
recently attended The Chapel for the last ten years with her son Joe and
her late daughter-in-law Patricia. Her interests included crocheting
with her friend Vickie, who we consider family now, watching her beloved
Cleveland Indians, gardening, canning, listening to gospel music and
enjoying nature, which included camping and riding dune buggies.
She was preceded in death by husband, Ralph; brother, Dennis Church
(Lesi) and son John Eldreth. She is survived by children; Joe, Jack
(Judy), Dave (Sherri), Mandy; daughter-in-law Sharon, nine grandchildren
and 25 plus great grandchildren.
The family wanted to extend their heartfelt appreciation to all those
that cared for Hazel over the last few years.
Visitation Tuesday 9 to 11 a.m. at the Hecker Funeral Home in Uniontown,
where funeral services will immediately follow at 11 a.m. with Rev.
Keith Emhoff and Rev. Steve Bucy officiating. Burial at Grandview
Memorial Park in Ravenna on Wednesday, October 11, at 12:00 noon.
