JAMES E. PATTERSON

James E. Patterson, now at peace, passed away at his home on December 12, 2023.  One of six children, he was born October 19, 1929 to the late Luther and Bessie Patterson. Jim also joins his son, Timothy Patterson; brothers, Edward, Elbert, L.J., and E.C. Patterson, and sister, Ollie Higgenbotham.

A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Jim’s faith in God, led him to build a solid family foundation of unconditional love, support, and respect. He enjoyed his flowers and landscaping, was a huge basketball and football fan, and coached for a period of time.

Jim is survived by his wife of 56 years, Carolyn Patterson; daughters, Marty (Rick) Demuesy, Sandy Harn; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Terri Patterson; and many cherished friends. The loss of Jim for his family is as immeasurable as their love for him.

Visitation for family and friends will take place at Temple Baptist Church, 1212 Greensburg Road, Green, on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 from 10:00 AM until Noon, with the service immediately following. Pastor Glenn Rogers, Jr. will officiate.
