JEAN ESTHER BOGARD MCLAUGHLIN

Jean Ester Bogard McLaughlin passed away peacefully in her home, on March 23, 2024, at the age of 96. She was born in Kenmore, Ohio on June 11, 1927. Jean is rejoining those who preceded her in death; husband, Kenneth Darrel McLaughlin; parents, Walter M. Bogard and Mary Olive Markley Bogard; as well as four brothers and five sisters.

She was a devoted, loving and charismatic mother, wife, grandmother, great-grandmother and great great-grandmother. Jean is survived by daughters Sharon Brink (Randy), Rebecca McLaughlin, Linda Laris (Stan), Joan McLaughlin, Brenda Carriger (Rick); sons Gary McLaughlin (Barbara), Darrel McLaughlin (Sherry), David McLaughlin; grandchildren Keith, Meg, Jenny, Mike, Bethany, Stacy, Kari, John, Kara, Amy, Cailyn, Hunter, Bailey; as well as 16 great-grandchildren and 2 great great-children. 

Jean was a bus driver for Green City Schools for many years, giving her the nickname “Mean Jean the bus driving machine”. Those who knew her will forever hold her memory in their hearts. In honoring her wishes, no visitation or service will be held. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
