JEAN M. YACONO

Jean M. Yacono, of Canton, Ohio, 94, passed away peacefully, January 28, 2022, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.  She was born to the late Fiorento and Adeline Ottavio on November 11, 1927, in Massillon, Ohio.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Yacono; sister, Mary Patron; and brother, Dominic Dottavio.

Jean was blessed to be born and raised in an Italian American home, where family, love, and loyalty was everything.  She was taught traditions, strong values, and the importance of having God in her life, which was the foundation that she and her husband, Anthony, taught their five children.  She took great pride and care with everything she did and enjoyed the simple pleasures of life.

Cherishing her memory always are those who survive; daughters, Linda (Danny) VanHorn of Alliance, Paula (Jim) Belopotosky of Canton, Diane (Lenny) Burkhart of Louisville; sons, Chris (Sharon) Yacono, Michael (Dawn) Yacono; both of Canton, 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; sister, Suzanne Paul of Massillon; and many other family members.

Private family visitation and service will be held at Hecker-Patron Funeral Home, 13151 Cleveland Avenue, NW, Uniontown. Interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery, Massillon.
