MARTHA A. (STIPE) HOOVER

Martha A. (Stipe) Hoover passed away quietly on her journey home, April 1, 2022, surrounded by her family. She was born to the late Marvin and Alta (Motz) Stipe on February 18, 1924, in Green Township, Ohio. Together with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Dan Hoover; brother, Harold Stipe; and sister, Hazel Stipe.

A member of Green Valley United Methodist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star, she was a lifelong resident of Green. She was a retired office worker from Firestone Tire and Rubber Company. As a wife and mother, Martha was loving, kind, and generous and when she became a grandmother and great-grandmother, she was thrilled. Throughout her life, she enjoyed camping with family and friends, gardening, cross stitch, and her cherished cats. She loved her family deeply and was blessed and so proud of each and every one of them. She enjoyed the fellowship she shared with her church family and friends.

Martha will be forever missed by her daughters, Cindy (Joe) Meyer and Dr. Linda (Rick) Jingle; grandchildren, Amy (Dr. David) Hughes, David Meyer, Erin (Kevin) DuPont, Casie (Griffin) Smith, Courtney (Neal) Kordsmeier, Evan and Eric Jingle; great-grandchildren, Brandon DuPont, Josie and Teddy Hughes; and many family and friends.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2022 from 11:30 a.m., until the time of the service, beginning at 1:00 p.m., Green Valley United Methodist Church, 620 E. Turkeyfoot Lake Road, Akron, Ohio 44319. Reverend Annette Dimond will officiate. Interment will follow at Uniontown Greenlawn Cemetery.
