"Together Again"
MARY E. LINDSAY
Mary E. Lindsay went home to be with the Lord March 31, 2021, as she joined her husband, Robert and her loved ones that went on before her.
She was one of four daughters born to the late Haven and Bess (Fulks) McKnight in Charleston, West Virginia on May 9, 1924. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters.
An excellent homemaker, Mary was a great cook, wonderful organizer and put her family first and foremost. She and her husband, Robert, were blessed with 68 years of marriage. A wonderful care giver to many, she had that special touch of making others feel very comfortable and exceptional. A member of Firestone Park Methodist Church, she had a very strong conviction, believing the word of God and living it each and every day.
Cherishing Mary’s memories are those who survive her; daughter, Pam (Joseph) Wozny of Florida; son, Robert Lindsay of Akron; grandchildren, Julie (Todd) Lombardi, Timothy (Jenny) Mattingly; great-grandchildren, Brady, Kayla, Tyler, and Tommy.
In keeping with Mary wishes, a private Graveside Service will be held at Greenlawn Cemetery.
The family extends a heartfelt thank you to the wonderful staff at the Justin T. Rogers Care Center and all the nurses and doctors in the cardiac care unit at Akron General, for their exceptional care.
Hecker-Patron Funeral home was privileged in assisting the Lindsay family and was entrusted with Mary’s care. To share your prayers, memories, and condolences during this tender time, you may visit: heckerpatronfuneralhome.com.
