Mary Owens Pepper
Mary (nee Fox) Pepper, went home to be with her Lord on December 31, 2017. Born December 25, 1930 in Cuyahoga Falls, she was an area resident all of her life. Mary, a loving wife, mother and grandmother, was a member of Advent Lutheran Church, where she was active in the Martha Women's Circle. She was also a member of the Akron Metro Hiking Club, the Daughters of American Revolution in Cuyahoga Falls, and the Caning Club. Mary enjoyed gardening, sewing and the Cleveland Indians.
Preceded in death by her husbands, Fred L Owens and Clarence Pepper Jr.; grandson, Wesley Owens; sisters, Dorothy Fox, Betty Warehime, Donna Clark and brother, Richard Fox; she is survived by her children, Steven Owens and his fiance Jeanne, Debra Johns (Darrell) and Teresa (Vance) Sherry; grandchildren, Jamie (Mary Elizabeth) Johns, Jennifer (Michael) Rohm, Daniel Owens, Eric and Johnathan Dick, Christen (Jason) Morrison; 6 great grandchildren; sister Pauline Lunsford, her church family and many other cherished relatives and friends.
Visitation Friday 11 to 1 p.m. at Advent Lutheran Church, where funeral services will immediately follow at 1 p.m. with Pastor Bob Cheyney Jr. officiating. Private burial at Hillside Memorial Park.
