MARYBELLE HAWK

Marybelle Hawk, 91, went home to be with the Lord, November 4, 2018.  Born February 11, 1927 in Greensburg, Ohio, she was the daughter of Homer and Margaret Hook.

She moved to Springfield Township upon marrying Glenn Hawk in 1948 and became a farmer’s wife.  She was an active member of the Springfield Church of the Brethren and the Ohio Farm Bureau.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn in 2014; parents, Homer and Margaret Hook and brothers, Malcom and Donald Hook.

Marybelle will be greatly missed by her children, Beverly Bridger, Duane (Kris) Hawk, Tim (Cindy) Hawk; grandchildren, Melinda (Bill), Jeremy (Secret), and Nathan Bridger, Angie Stockwell, Jennifer (Kevin) Flora, Daniel (Kathy) Hawk, Ben and Abby Hawk; nine great-grandchildren; and sister, Dorene (Dean) Hartong.

Family and friends are invited for visitation, Wednesday at Springfield Church of the Brethren, 3500 Albrecht Avenue, Akron, Ohio from 4-7 p.m. and Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of service, beginning at 11 a.m.  Pastor George O’Reilly officiating.  Burial will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery, Akron, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Springfield Church of the Brethren or Crossroads Hospice, 3943 Boettler Oaks Drive, Suite E, Green, Ohio  44685.

The family would like to extend special thanks to home care givers; Donna, Mim, and Joyce and the staff of Homestead and Crossroads Hospice for the excellent and loving care given to mom.

The family has entrusted Marybelle’s care with Hecker-Patron Funeral Home, Uniontown, Ohio.
