Nydah Joyce Cottrell

Nydah Joyce Cottrell, 84, went home to be with the Lord on February 28, 2018. Born in Barberton, Ohio on April 1, 1933 to Stanley and Cleyon (Wood) Bird, she was an area resident all of her life. Nydah worked at F.W. Woolworth Co. for many years before quitting to raise her children and be a stay at home mom. When she was still able, she faithfully attended Living Waters Ministries in Ellet.

Nydah was preceded in death by her first husband Harold Cottrell in 1972 and later by her second husband Charles Butler in 1993; also sisters,  Lena (Clair) Brewster, Rebecca (Leonard) Stewart, Delores (Edgar) Armstrong and baby sister Cleyon Roberta Bird; brothers Russell and Robert Bird; brother-in-law Clifford Miracle;  nieces Charlotte Stewart, Donna Fedock and Linda Kirkpatrick. She will be greatly missed by her loving family; daughter and son-in-law Rene’ and Kevan Price; son Harold Cottrell; granddaughter Tiffany and her husband John Gray; grandson Kyle Price; great grandchildren, Melanie and Jonah Gray; sisters, Mary Miracle and Betty (Howard) Hecker; sisters-in-law Shirley T. Bird and Shirley N. Bird; and many nieces , nephews, great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation Sunday 2 to 4 p.m. at the Hecker Funeral Home in Uniontown, where funeral services will be held on Monday at 11 a.m.
