PHYLLIS SHULENBERGER MOORE HARNACK

Phyllis M. Shulenberger Moore Harnack, 87, of Uniontown, Ohio was welcomed into the arms of her Lord, July 23, 2018.  Born August 21, 1930 in Canton, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Chester A. Shulenberger and Lena McCord Shulenberger.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, John Kenneth Moore; husband, Walter Harnack in 2011; son, Robert Dean Harnack; and brother, Robert (Virginia) Shulenberger.

Phyllis will always be cherished by those she leaves behind; daughter, Patti (Michael) Moore O'Hara; son, Jim (Melody) Harnack; grandchildren, Michael T. (Laura) O'Hara II, James Taylor Harnack, Jaime Madrigal, Tyler DePriest, Audra Monteith, Torey DePriest; six great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

A remarkable woman with remarkable faith, Phyllis had been a member of Grace United Church of Christ since 1969.  She retired as a librarian from Akron Public Schools.  Also, the first woman Trustee and Treasurer of Lake Township, first woman President of Rotary Club Lake Township, a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, past President of the Madison McKinley Daughters of War of 1812; member of Lake Township Historical Society, Hartville Coin Club, VFW, and the American Legion Auxiliary.  A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother was Phyllis' greatest blessing and she touched the lives of so many, in so many ways.

Family and friends are welcome to visit, Sunday from 6-9 p.m., Hecker-Patron Funeral Home, 13151 Cleveland Avenue, Uniontown, Ohio and Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of service, beginning at 11 a.m., Grace United Church of Christ, 13275 Cleveland Avenue, NW, Uniontown, Ohio.  Pastor Jeff Nelson officiating.  Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Uniontown, Ohio.
