RICHARD ELZA POE

On February 15, 2023, Richard Elza Poe, 80, of Uniontown, Ohio, passed away peacefully. Born June 11, 1942 in Akron, Ohio, he was the son of the late William and Helen (Nibling) Poe.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Bobby, Gary, and William Poe.

Richard is survived by wife, Merry Poe; sons, Timothy Poe, Terry Poe; grandchildren, Nicole Hess, Haleigh Poe, and Trenton Poe; great-grandchildren, Gia Hess, Charly Beverly, Apollo Yarnell; and sisters, Bonnie Tokes and Sharon Brady. May your hearts be filled with cherished memories.

Very community oriented, he was a member of the Advent Lutheran Church, where he served as an usher and attended bible study. He was also a member of the Lions Club, Shriners, and enjoyed all things sports related.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2023 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Hecker-Patron Funeral Home, Uniontown, where the service for Richard will be Friday, February 24, 2023 at 11:00 am.  Interment will follow at Hillside Memorial Park, Akron.
