RODNEY KEITH MORGAN

Rodney Keith Morgan 77 peacefully went home to be with the Lord, while his wife Sandra held his hand on Saturday, November 30, 2024, in Wesley Chapel, Florida.

Rod was born on May 22, 1947, to Charlie and Freda Morgan. He loved growing up in the small community of Suffield, Ohio. He graduated from Field High School in 1965. Later on, he returned to Suffield to lay down roots.
Rod was a devoted father, husband, Pop, and friend. When he wasn’t sharing a cup of coffee and a great story with someone at the table, his trusted dog Harley by his side, he could probably be found on the tractor, fishing on Lake Erie, or riding his Harley with Sandy. Family and friends could always count on him for a great laugh, no matter how challenging or frustrating the situation might be. He was the greatest encourager, and his positive outlook helped many people overcome personal struggles. Rod was known for showing up for people, ready to sacrifice his time to help solve a problem or offer a helping hand.

Rod enjoyed a storied career in the elevator industry. He was a member of IUEC local 45. Rod entered the trade with Otis Elevator, and after earning his mechanics card, worked for Canton Elevator, Millar, and eventually retired from Schindler Elevator as a card-carrying supervisor in 2005. He wore many hats during his long career but excelled at sales and the relationships he built with his customers. He loved the trade and all it provided, as well as the talented men he worked with.

Rod is survived by his beloved wife, Sandra Morgan; children, William Morgan, Jim Morgan, Paul Morgan (Cheryl), Dawn Brown (Kevin), Becky Hileman, and David Doyle (Stephanie). Rod was so proud of his twelve grandchildren; Hannah Kelley (Dalton), Abigail Kasten (Shane), Rebecca Morgan, Brody Morgan, Makenzie Morgan, Noah Morgan, Ethan Brown, Alyssa Brown, Caden Hileman, Caleb Hileman, and Casen Hileman. Just this year, he became a great grandfather to Weston Kelley. He is also survived by his brothers, Roger Morgan (Darrell), Rick Morgan (Judy), and Ross Morgan.

Family and friends are welcome for visitation on Saturday, December 14 from 10:00 a.m. to noon at Hecker-Patron Funeral Home, 13151 Cleveland Avenue, NW, Uniontown. The funeral service will be at noon. Interment will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery, Twinsburg.
