RUTH A. FAST (SHAFFER)
April 26, 1945 – November 24, 2020
Our loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Ruth A. Fast (Shaffer), went home to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on November 24, 2020. She fought a strong fight with lung cancer for the past three years.
Our loving mother, Ruth, is preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Reatha Shaffer; sister, Regina; and brother, Lindell Shaffer. Our loving mother was the heart and soul of her family and is survived by her three children; Regina (Dave), John (Brenda), Tina (Jeremy); seven grandchildren, Lois, Johnathan, Gennifer, Jessica, John II, Matthew, Grace; six great-grandchildren, Julius, Jacen, Cadence, Silver, Sophia, Remmy; brother, Kenneth Shaffer of Arizona; and lifelong friend and companion, Richard Kirkman.
Our loving mother has impacted so many people’s lives, that she will always hold a special place in everyone’s hearts. She was a member of Healing Vine Ministries in Cuyahoga Falls, enjoyed attending church services and functions, and watching Jimmy Swaggert on SBN . She liked playing Yahtzee, jigsaw puzzles, cooking, baking, puzzle books, and crocheting.
Family and friends are welcome for visitation, Sunday, November 29, 2020 from 2:00 to 5:00 pm, Hecker-Patron Funeral Home, 13151 Cleveland Ave., NW, Uniontown, where the service for Ruth will be held on Monday, November 30, 2020 at 11:00 am. Our family would like to recognize Ebony Lee and Bambi for taking amazing care of our mother until her last days. Our loving mother wanted us to share this for everyone to read: “I am in HEAVEN, with no more pain, enjoying my loved ones that left me behind. Hold a smile on your face, knowing I am FREE.”
