Sherley Freed

SHERLEY BLAINE FREED

Sherley Blaine Freed, 83, of Uniontown, Ohio, passed away December 31, 2018 at his home.  He was born in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania on July 30, 1935, son of the late Homer R. Freed and Violet May Schutte Freed.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death in 2017 by his wife, Alice Faye Freed; brother, Paul Freed; and sisters, Veda Dixon and Margie Harris.

Sherley’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who survive; sons, Donald Freed (Rosemary Holland) of Uniontown, Ohio, Robert (Jennifer) Yuhaze of Massillon, Ohio; grandson, Kaden Yuhaze; sisters, Linda Channels, Omagine (Jerry) Masters all of Coventry; Myrtle (Doug) Spark of Texas, Vonnie (Mack) Ledford of Ellet, Nancy Ridenhour of Barberton; brother, Donald (Claudia) Freed of Coventry.

Sherley was the owner of S.B. Freed Well Drilling and Pump Service for 52 years and was a very loving husband, father, and grandfather.  He was a member of Temple Baptist Church, loved to garden and enjoyed Blue Grass Music.  When his health allowed, he loved being a caregiver for those in need.

Family and friends are invited to visit, Friday, January 4th from 5 to 8 pm,  Hecker-Patron Funeral Home, 13151 Cleveland Ave., NW, Uniontown, where the service for Sherley will be conducted, Saturday, January 5th at 11 am.  Pastor Glenn Rogers officiating.  Interment will follow at Hillside Memorial Park, Akron, Ohio.
