VIRGINIA MAY STONE

Virginia May (Donahue) Stone, Ginny to those who knew her, went home to her Lord and Savior on December 26, 2022, at the age of 92 years young.  Ginny was a resident of Akron, Ohio.

A mother is someone who can take the place of all others, but whose place no one else can take. Virginia was a beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandma, great-grandma, and sister. Her family was everything to her and she loved them fiercely and was always ready with a warm hug or lap to cuddle on. She enjoyed the warmth and simple pleasures of being a homebody.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard “Dick” Stone. Ginny and Dick were married in 1949 and enjoyed 60 years of marriage before his passing. In addition to Dick, she was also preceded in death by her son, Richard (Ricky) Stone, Jr., her parents; and siblings. She is survived by her daughters, Linda Gainer (Larry), Carol Resch (David); granddaughters, Yvonne Braman (Sean), Susan Crable (Chas), Paula Clark (Matthew); grandsons, Larry Gainer, Jr., Joseph Gainer (LaTisha); and six great-grandchildren, Summer, Autumn, LaTavia, Christian, Jaxon, and Roman.

Visitation for family and friends will take place, Tuesday, January 3, 2022 from 11:30 a.m. ti 1:30 p.m., Hecker-Patron Funeral Home, 13151 Cleveland Avenue, NW, Uniontown, where the service will follow at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Greensburg Cemetery, Green, Ohio.
